Me and a Boss(2)

They spent the next half an hour having a good time and getting to know each other. And finally, they ended up making a real connection which was more or less an amazing indeed. But his boys wanted to fly out of the country, and since he was their chaperone, he made a point of leaving, but not before they exchanged their phone numbers.

Chapter 2:

-First date-

Ever since Tony had the pleasure of getting to meet the hottest bartender in the world, at least in his book, he was finding it a little difficult for a couple of minutes going by without getting to think about her. Indeed, she was a real beauty. And for a moment, he thought that she could make a very incredible and beautiful wife.

Tony knew that he wanted to know much more about her. And that said, he decided that it would be a nice idea if he just calls her using the number that she had given him and set up a date. To be honest, it had been a minute before Tony went out on a date and for a moment, he thought that maybe it wasn’t such an incredible idea to do so.

But either way, it seemed as though it was the only way he was going to quench all of the curiosity that he was having about her.

And as he was dialing the number into his phone, Tony had this vague thought that maybe she had given him the wrong number. And that alone made him smile for a moment or two right before dialing it up. He couldn’t help but tense a little bit as the phone kept on dialing up for a moment or two; Tony could feel as though his heart was throbbing a million miles a minute. But needless to say, he had to control himself.

“Hey, I am Tony Watson, you remember me?”

“Of course, I do remember you. There aren’t a lot of charming guys left in this miserable world. How have you been? For a minute I thought you were never going to call me at all.”

Tony smiled. He wanted to take a moment and thank God because this girl wasn’t that much of a diva as some of the ratchet girls that he had the misfortune of meeting. Before they figured out that he was a billionaire, they always acted as though they were never up for remembering his name when he called them soon as they had exchanged their numbers.

“I have been thinking of taking you out for a while now. I would like to get to know much more about you. When you are free so that I can drop by?”

Kate thought for a moment. Dating hadn’t been her thing for a minute, and that explained why she had no idea where they could meet and that said, she decided to give Tony the opportunity to get to make the pick.

“Ok, I just know the perfect restaurant to meet you. I will call you in an hour’s time so that we can make the necessary arrangements.”

“I will be waiting.”

Kate hung up the phone right before blushing her cheeks red.

Kate walked into the grand hotel, and she couldn’t believe that she was getting there for the very first time. As a matter of fact, Kate was starting to fight the thought of turning back around since she could already feel that she didn’t belong in that place at any given moment, and she felt as though she was going to be thrown out even without thinking twice.

She gazed frantically, hoping that she was going to catch a glimpse of Tony. And more importantly, she hoped that his spoilt, billionaire friends weren’t going to interfere with the romantic date that they were about to have.

Thankfully, she caught a glimpse of what seemed like the most handsome man in the room and just like that, all of the stress that she was starting to feel evaporated just like that and in turn, she replaced the worried face with a cute smile.

Tony was shod in a three-piece suit that looked super expensive and he was already started eating his food, which was already getting cold. But when he saw her, he quickly picked up the tissue, dried the corner of his mouth a little bit right before standing to greet her.

“For a moment, I thought you weren’t going to show up. But either way, I am very glad that you did show up.”

He quickly made a point of pulling the chair for her and then poured her a bottle of the finest wine that they had in the diner. And all that while, all that Kate could do was to watch with a smile on her face. It was the kind of sensation that she felt was incredible for her, and she didn’t want for it to go away for any reason whatsoever.

“So, where were we the other day before we were so rudely snatched away from each other?”

“We were at the point where you were about to kiss me.” Kate joked right before they laughed a little.

It was incredible that Kate had a sense of humor since it went a long way in taking care of all of the awkwardness as well as the uneasiness of the first dates. And at that point, Tony decided to get to know more about her.

Kate told her virtually every single thing that he needed to know, and it only got Tony to like her even more. She was independent and very ambitious and for a moment, Tony envied her since he was pretty much born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and that said, they needed to ensure that they had worked together.

“You want to be a club owner that is such an ambitious dream. But judging from what I hear, you are a very hard worker, and that shouldn’t be that much of a problem as far as you are concerned.”

“Thank you. How about you? What are you up to apart from hitting on girls and making sure that you are taking the most expensive bottle of vodka in every joint that you go?”

“Well, that sums up my life.”

They both laughed and clinked their glasses in delight. From the look of things, the date was going on rather perfectly than they had anticipated and for a moment, the two wished that it was going to last a lifetime. But since that wasn’t going to be the case, they decided to make the most of virtually every single thing that were happening.
