Turned Out By A Boss(10)

“You look and smell good.” Rico complimented as he stood behind her rubbing her belly.

“Thank you.” Rico sighed as she pushed his hands off of her. “Where are we going?”

Instead of answering her he guided her out of the house and towards his white Escalade. Rico didn't really think this plan through because he honestly didn't expect her to even agree to leave the house with him. Just winging it he decides to start with breakfast so that they can eat and talk.

Damn this an awkward ride, Rico thought as he drove.

Denim is usually very talkative especially when it came to him. As much as Rico claimed he didn't want to be with Denim at times he couldn't stop the feelings he had for her.

“I don't want to sit in here.”

Pulling into Denny's parking lot Rico ignored her. The entire ride she acted as if she couldn't speak but now she wanted to tell him what she wanted to do as if he cared.

“Rico I know you hear me.”

“Denim shut up and get out.”

Walking in and being seated Denim sat angrily at the table glaring at Rico.

"Fix your face. You too pretty to have your face screwed up like that.” Rico teased.

“What was the point in you coming to my house waking me up out of my sleep and bringing me to this ghetto ass Denny's?”

Rico was about to respond until he spotted a waitress making her way to them. Ordering their food, he waited until she walked off before he spoke.

“I just had time to think about everything and I realized I was a hundred percent wrong for how I been acting. You didn't get yourself pregnant. So I can't expect you to act like you did. I knew I had a wife when I laid down with you and you're right our child doesn't deserve to be kept a secret and hidden from the world. I made my bed and now I have to lay in it and face the consequences.” he said ignoring her little snide comment about his restaurant of choice.

Denim stared at him through tear filled eyes. She couldn't tell if he was being honest and genuine or just speaking but either way, she believed him. This was all she ever wanted from him. Denim felt as though she knew her role and played it well when it came to being Rico’s thing on the side and it was time Rico got it together and got into his role as a soon to be parent.

“All this sounds good, but I need actions. How many times have you said you were ready for this baby? Then turned around and said some shit like I should have gotten an abortion. You knew every time we laid down and had sex without a condom that it was a possibility that I would end up pregnant. Did you not?” She asked.

No matter if she believed him or not she wouldn't forgive him if his actions weren't showing louder than his words.

Rico agreed before telling her that he was all in and ready to step up to his responsibilities. However, even though he had agreed to step up to the plate by handling his responsibilities of being a dad. What Denim didn't know was that there was no way in hell he was going to tell or let Deena find out he would be fathering Denim's baby.

“What's your problem now?” Yelled Rico.

“Nothing.”

“Fuck nothing, it's obviously something. We been good all day and now you got this funky ass attitude,” he snapped.

Denim and Rico had spent the entire day shopping for the baby. They went from store to store buying everything Denim felt she needed. From clothes to diapers, bottles and furniture you name it and Rico bought it. They spent the day laughing and loving each other’s company so for the life of him he couldn't understand where the sudden attitude was coming from.

"Are you and Deena still sleeping together?”

“What?!” Rico asked confused. What he didn't know was that while he went to the bathroom, Denim had wasted no time checking his phone.

“Are you and Deena still sleeping together?” She repeated.

Putting her hand up, she said, “Before you answer I suggest you not lie to me.”

“Why do you care?”

“So that's a yes. You're still sleeping with the bitch.” She yelled.

Rico felt as though whatever he did with his wife was just that between him and his wife. He felt as though Denim was overstepping her boundaries. Yes, she may be pregnant by him but the fact still remains that she was his side chick and not his wife. When it came to his dick and his sex life with his wife, it really didn't concern Denim.

Denim

Anger was an understatement for how Denim felt as she watched Rico ignore he by waking straight out the door. She knew Rico felt as though whether or not him and Deena were still having sex was none of her business and she had no right to be mad. Where as in her head she had every reason to be. When it came down to it, Rico and everything concerning him affected her and was her business. Another reason being, she in her mind, when it came down to sex she never denied him and made sure to please him very well so he shouldn't need it from anybody else. His wife included.

"Hello,” She answered her ringing phone.

“Hello, can I speak to Denim?”

“Who is this?” Irritation was evident all in her voice.

"Denim? It's Treasure.”

“Oh, My Gosh! Treasure I miss you. Bitch where you been?” Denim asked not being able to contain her excitement. Treasure was her childhood friend that moved during their sophomore year of high school.
