Craving Tori: White Timber Pack(7)

“Alpha, your plate is in the microwave. You just need to warm it up,” my shy little mate whispers.

My father sighs, turning his head our way. “How many times do I have to say this. Please, call me Darren,” he says, his tone soft. My mate blushes, nodding her head.

My father goes over to the microwave, warming his plate up, and after it dings, he grabs his food and comes over to the table. He takes a seat beside my mother. He places a kiss to my mother’s lips before turning to my mate.

“Thank you for breakfast, Tori.”

“Oh, it was nothing. I hope I made enough for you,” she mentions, fidgeting with her hands. My father chuckles.

“This is more than enough, thank you,” my father replies. Tori nods and goes back to picking at her pancakes and bacon.

Last night must still be heavily on her mind.

“So, Dad. What’s on the agenda for today?” I ask.

My father sighs deeply. “I have to go to the Pindar Den. I need to talk to Issac about his behavior last night. He made a scene at the bar when Kelly and Noah showed up. She doesn’t need to have this much stress on her. Noah and she seem to be getting along just great.”

Kelly and Noah seem to be attracted to each other, and their wolves get along fairly-well even though they aren’t true mates, but they can make each other happy. It might not be any of my business, but that damn bear better not start anything with my cousin because he can’t handle the fact he threw his mate away and someone else scooped her up.

Tori finishes some of her food and groans, leaning back in the chair. “I think I ate too much,” she mumbles.

I chuckle, shaking my head. I’m used to wolves eating and when we eat, we really eat. There isn’t much left afterwards, rare that there’s any leftovers period. I get up and grab her plate, putting it on top of mine and bring it over to the sink. Tori begins to protest at first, but I put my hand up, shaking my head.

“But I was going to clean up,” she lightly whines.

“You made breakfast, the least I can do is clean up. Now, relax and let your man clean up,” I point out.

I’m just about the start washing the dishes when I feel her come up behind me and wrap her arms around my waist. My wolf howls happily inside my head. He loves it when she’s close to us, hell, I do too. My cock hardening as hard as a hammer could testify to that.

“What are your plans today, my little mate?” I ask, rinsing off the last plate then placing it in the drying rack. I turn around and hold Tori in my arms. She smiles up at me before replying.

“Elizabeth wanted me to go with her and her mother shopping for some baby stuff,” she grins.

I remember the day Tori came bouncing inside the house. She told me that Elizabeth asked her to be the Godmother of the little bundle of joy. Tori, was so excited she squealed and screamed for a good five minutes. And to my surprise, Caleb asked me to be one of the Godfathers. That’s right, the pup will have two Godfathers. Samuel’s friend, Sedgwick, and myself. They couldn’t decide on just one of us, so they asked us both.

I look over to my mother who’s still sitting at the table, finishing up her second cup of coffee. “Mother, what are your plans?” I ask curiously, but I’m sure I already know the answer. There’s no way they’re going shopping for the baby and my mother not being there.

My mother perks up and gives a bright smile.

“Oh, I’m going shopping with the girls, of course,” she replies happily. My mother is over the moon happy about this baby. It’s kind of nuts to think that I’ll be an uncle soon.

“Well, is Caleb home today?” I ask her. My mother shakes her head while her eyes move to my father.

“Caleb will be coming with me to deal with some pack stuff with the bears,” my father grumbles with his mouth full. My mother glares at him and he just shrugs his shoulders, mouthing ‘what’ at her. My mother shakes her head. I bite back the chuckle that tries to escape.

Well, it looks like I’m all alone today. What am I going to do to kill the time before my mate comes back?

“What are you going to do while we’re gone?” Tori wonders.

I shrug my shoulders, not too sure what I’m going to do yet, but I say the first thing that pops into my head. “I’m probably going to go for a quick run, then work out a little,” I mention. She nods her head with a blush on her cheeks. Knowing my little mate, she’s probably thinking of me without a shirt on. She bites her lip, probably thinking of naughty things. I try to hold back a groan that’s desperately trying to escape from my throat.

A run was exactly what I needed. Malakai needed to feel the soil under his paws. He’s been a little on edge with Tori not wearing our mark. He won’t let how Tori was feeling at the restaurant go either. I can’t put my finger on it, but she seems to think someone was watching us, well her, and that puts me on edge.

I’m in the back out of the house outside doing pushups when I hear a car pulling up. A few minutes later, Noah comes walking around the corner and waves. I get up off the ground and wipe my hands on my shorts. I nod my head in his direction.

“What are you doing here?” I ask, thinking he would be with Kelly.

“Kelly was invited to head out with the girls. I thought I would come over and see what you were up too. Caleb mentioned that he was going with Uncle Darren to talk to Issac, and it wouldn’t have been a good idea if I tagged along,” he grunts. Fuck, that wouldn’t have been a clever idea.
